Walter Passarella

Walter Passarella was born on August 7, 1960, in Mortara (PV), where he lives and works. He completed his higher education at the State Art Institute of Valenza PO, earning a diploma as a Master of Art. Since then, his artistic career has begun, receiving significant acclaim from both critics and the public.

From the outset, his focus has been on human and social dynamics, which have become the central theme of his research. It can be asserted that the artist is engaged in a continuous search for a “Vitruvian Man,” but exclusively from a philosophical and spiritual perspective.

In his artistic journey, he employs not only painting but also sculpture using various materials, photography, and the creation of stage sets for theatrical performances. He also illustrated the cover of the book “Il girotondo del piccolo uomo” by writer Lorenzo Fizzotti Degrati. His works are present in private collections in Rome, Milan, Modena, Bari, Turin, Tokyo, Paris, London, Monaco, Bologna, the Pinacoteca of the Pontifical Sanctuary of Pompeii, Geneva, Boston, and Miami.

I know artists who deserve the fame and honors of well-known yet equally EMPTY names that populate the global market! Unfortunately, things don’t always work out that way.

Beware, being an artist doesn’t mean merely showcasing technical skills (one would remain just CRAFTSMEN); it means study, evolution, exploration of various themes, experimentation, in addition to techniques and technicalities, both classic and innovative. That’s what being an artist means; success is something entirely different—it’s about the market!
